Royal Orient Train Tour

Delhi

The Royal Orient train tour starts from Delhi, the capital of India. Get ready to explore the best of Indian heritage and culture as we take you to two of the most fascinating states of India, Rajasthan and Gujarat! The Royal Orient train begins its journey from the Delhi Cantonment Railway Station at around 15:00 hrs. Enjoy your evening tea and dinner and stay on board the luxury train, overnight!
Before boarding the Royal orient train you have the option of a short sightseeing tour of Delhi. Delhi is one of the most vibrant and culturally rich cities of India. Delhi boasts of a great cultural heritage and history, as it has been a witness to rise and fall of many empires, through ages. Major tourist attractions at Delhi are the Red fort, the Jama Masjid, the Old fort, Raj Ghat, the India Gate, the parliament House, the Qutub Minar, the tomb of Humayun, the Akshardham temple, the Lotus temple and the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Day 02 : Thursday Arrival 05:30 hrs. Departure 17:50 hrs.

Chittaurgarh - Udaipur

The first destination of the Royal Orient train is Chittorgarh. The Royal Orient train arrives at Udaipur early in the morning. Chittorgarh is an important and historical city of Rajasthan. Chittorgarh was once the capital of former Rajput state, Mewar. It is synonymous with Rajput pride, romance and spirit. The main attraction at Chittorgarh is the Chittor fort, located atop a hill.
The Chittorgarh fort is a depiction of Rajput valor, bravery, culture and values. The fort stands on a 240-hectares site on an 180m high hill, which rises rapidly from the plains below. Apart from its historical importance, Chittorgarh has a number of temples, including the Kalika Mata Temple. Another important attraction at Chittorgarh is the tower of Victory, Vijay Stambh. It was built by Maharana Kumbha to commemorate his victory over Mohammed Khilji.
You will be taken for a morning tour of the Chittorgarh fort. It is followed by breakfast in the train and then onward journey to Udaipur. Udaipur is yet another beautiful and heritage city of Rajasthan. Udaipur offers a combination of beauty and heritage. The main attractions at Udaipur are the City Palace, Lake Pichola, Sahelion Ki Bari, Fateh Sagar Lake, Jagdish temple etc. The Royal Orient train reaches Udaipur at noon and you will head to hotel for your lunch. Lunch follows an afternoon tour of Udaipur city. After the sightseeing tour of Udaipur city, you will return back to the Royal Orient train and leave for Mehsana. Have your dinner on board and stay on the Royal Orient luxury train, overnight.

Day 03 : Friday Arrival 06:45 hrs. Departure 20:15 hrs.

Mehsana, Ahmedabad

Early morning visit Sun temple at Modhera and Patola Weaving center at Patan. Breakfast onboard.

Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad is a colorful city where one can enjoy the better things of life, be it food or amusement. The Walled City in Ahmedabad takes one down the memory lane, making one aware of the city's glorious past. Ahmedabad has got numerous places of interest for tourists, ranging from monuments to amusement parks. The charm of the various museums, mosques, and forts complements the simplicity of the Ahmedabad city. While visiting the Ahmedabad city, one should keep the budget flexible, as it is all too common for people to get tempted by the array of artifacts, antiques, and the exotic and colorful attire available in Ahmedabad.

Day 04 : Saturday Arrival 08:00 hrs. Departure 20:00 hrs.

Sasan Gir

Sasangir has the distinction of being the last earthly refuge of the Asiatic lion. In the paisley-shaped Kathiwad peninsula of Gujarat stands the Gir National Park and Lion Sanctuary, the one and only remaining habitat of this proud and majestic species (Panthera leo). Sasangir Lion Sanctuary is home of some 300 Asiatic lions. Close to being an extinct species, the number of Asiatic lions has been steadily rising since 1980 in this safe haven.

Day 05 : Sunday Arrival 07:45 hrs. Departure 22:30 hrs.

Palitana

Morning at Palitana, the next stop is at Sarkhej, famous for the traditional Vishalla Village. All meals on board the Royal Orient.

Day 06 : Monday Arrival 07:15 hrs. Departure 20:00 hrs.

Udaipur

The city of Dawn, Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure water lakes, hemmed in by the lush hills of the Aravalis. A vision in white drenched in romance and beauty. Udaipur is a fascinating blend of sights, sounds and experiences an inspiration for the imagination of poes,painters and writers.
Overlooking the aquamarine expanses of the Lake Pichhola stands the splendid City Palace a marvel and granite and marbel. Exquisite lake palaces of Udaipur, shimmering like jewels on the Lake Pichhola are overwhelming in splendour.
Several places of interest around Udaipur, with an interesting excursion to Ranakpur. After lunch, you can visit the Shilpgram Craft Village and then continue for Jaipur. All meals on board the Royal Orient.

Day 07 : Tuesday Arrival 07:50 hrs. Departure 21:55 hrs.

Jaipur

Breakfast Onboard. The capital of Rajasthan is the most colourful city in India, with it's famous pink coloured buildings, museum, observatory, Palace of Winds and the colourful bazaar. Breakfast and lunch on board the train. To explore the city, an air-conditioned coach takes you to Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds, which is a remarkable five storeyed building along the main street of the old city in pink splendor with semi octagonal and delicate honey combed sandstone windows.
And yes, how can you miss the shopping in your Jaipur tour. Jaipur is the place to shop until you drop ! It has a plethora of handicrafts and other attarctions.
