India is the home to the richest bio-diversity in relation to the variety of flora and fauna present in it. India is the home to 98 national parks until date and tourists have a few favorites due to the large variety that they have to offer. One of the famous national parks is the Jim Corbett national park located in Uttarakand. This is one of the oldest national parks in India. The main attractions in this national park are the spotted dear, leopards and other such species of jungles cats. Bengal tigers are present in large numbers but cannot be spotted due to the availability of rich camouflage. The bull elephant is also an attraction of this reserve along with bird watching. It is also home to the Indian python and is a crocodile reserve through captive breeding.

Kaziranga national park is located in Assam and is a declared world heritage site. This is because; it holds two-thirds population of the Great One-horned Rhinoceroses. It is also home to the largest number of tigers under protected areas and is known as the tiger reserve too.

The Ranthambore national park is another wildlife sanctuary located in Rajasthan and is one of the largest parks located in north India. The elephant safari and the jeep rides are the best activities in this national park as well as the others. The elephant rides can show the wildlife in their original state and thus many people opt for it. You can also visit the Ranthambore fort, which was built in the 10th century.

The Kanha national park is located in Madhya Pradesh and mainly known for its Bengal tigers. The black buck was a resident of this national park but soon disappeared, as it did not find a suitable habitat for itself.
